Industrial engineering services
Stand-alone engineering support for process design, PFDs and P&IDs, piping and installation layouts, and PED/CE documentation.
Solveno Technologies provides industrial engineering services for equipment builders, engineering contractors and plant operators. Engage us for a defined work package: PFDs and P&IDs, piping and installation layouts, or engineering support for PED and CE documentation.
These services are available as standalone assignments, independently of purchasing a Solveno CO₂ recovery system. We can support a new installation, a modification to an existing plant or a specific engineering task within your project.
Which engineering tasks can we support?
PFDs and P&IDs
A process flow diagram (PFD) describes the main process steps and streams. A piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID) develops the equipment, piping, valves, instrumentation and control functions in greater detail.
We prepare or update these documents using the available process information and your project requirements. The agreed scope can include equipment identification, instrument tags, utility connections and the incorporation of reviewed modifications.
Piping and installation layouts
We develop piping and equipment layouts around the available space, process connections and practical requirements of the installation. Access for assembly, operation and maintenance is considered alongside routing and interfaces with existing equipment.
The assignment can cover a defined skid, a section of the installation or the connections between new and existing equipment. Drawing detail, site information and deliverable formats are agreed at the start.
Engineering support for PED and CE
We support the engineering and technical documentation associated with pressure equipment and installation conformity. Depending on the assignment, this can include documenting design conditions, organising equipment information and identifying missing inputs in the technical file.
The scope specifies the responsibilities of Solveno, the manufacturer and any external assessment bodies. Our role is engineering support; independent assessment or certification is not included in that role.
Early-stage process engineering and simulation
We support initial process studies, preliminary mass and energy balances and the comparison of operating scenarios. Assumptions, available input data and the level of validation are defined before the study starts, so the results can be used appropriately in subsequent engineering decisions.
Electrical engineering through a specialist partner
Where an assignment also requires electrical design, we involve a specialist partner. Electrical scope, process interfaces and responsibilities are agreed as part of the project.
Engineering informed by our own installation development
Solveno develops modular CO₂ recovery systems for biogas upgrading and dry ice production. This work connects process requirements with piping, instrumentation, pressure equipment and practical installation design.
Energy consumption is a central design consideration in our own systems. Where relevant to an engineering assignment, we consider how operating conditions, pressure losses and equipment interfaces affect energy demand and operation.
This installation perspective also informs standalone engineering work: a drawing or calculation must fit the equipment, the available site information and the next project phase.
What do we agree before starting?
- Scope: the installation section, engineering task and project boundaries.
- Inputs: existing drawings, equipment data, operating conditions and site constraints.
- Deliverables: documents, drawing formats and the required level of detail.
- Review: contact persons, review stages and approval responsibilities.
- Timing: priorities, deadlines and dependencies on information from other parties.
For updates to existing documentation, we also agree how the actual installation will be verified. A revised drawing is only treated as an as-built record when the relevant site information has been checked.

Discuss your engineering requirements
Send a short description of the installation, the task you want to outsource, your available documentation and the required delivery date. We can then define a suitable scope and the information needed to prepare a proposal.
