How does it work?

Our CO₂ recovery unit captures off-gas from biogas upgrading plants or other high-purity sources and converts it into liquid CO₂ for reuse, improving efficiency and reducing waste. The process starts with a compression step, where the CO₂ gas is pressurized. Next, it undergoes a cooling and liquefaction step, transforming it into liquid form. The liquid CO₂ is then purified using a distillation step to remove any impurities, ensuring high-quality, food-grade CO₂. The removed impurities can be sent back to the biogas upgrading plant to prevent methane emissions. This streamlined system reduces environmental impact while optimizing your plant’s efficiency.

Standard CO2 System Solutions

Our system is available in standard models with capacities ranging from 350 to 4,500 kg of CO₂ per hour. We also provide custom designs and capacity ranges to meet specific project requirements. Each system is built as a compact, containerized unit for easy installation, designed to operate autonomously and adapt to varying production levels.

Shown below are two standard examples: the CB-17, capable of processing up to 1,750 kg of CO₂ per hour, and the CB-12, with a capacity of up to 1,250 kg per hour.

Bulk Storage Tank

Solveno Technologies offers an optional turnkey solution for bulk storage tanks. This solution includes one or more storage tanks to allow long-term storage of the liquid CO2. Solveno Technologies will handle the complete engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of the tanks. The tanks will be delivered with all required certifications.

CO2 Analyzer

Solveno Technologies offers an optional fully automated, factory-calibrated CO2 analysis system designed to ensure rigorous quality assurance. The system can detect contaminants at sub-ppb levels with rapid response times. Hereby, the CO2 analyzer can validate whether the CO2 meets the required quality standards. A continuous sampling setup with multiple sampling points allows for frequent analysis across various locations in the process.  This CO2 analysis system can be seamlessly added to and integrated with the standard setup.

Truck Loading Station

Solveno Technologies can offer an optional truck loading station as part of its solution. This station will enable trucks to load the finished CO₂ product for distribution. Solveno Technologies will provide a complete turnkey solution, including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC).

CO2 Emissions Reporting Package (ESG)

Solveno Technologies offers an optional CO2 emissions reporting package that accurately measures the CO2 emissions saved through our system. This is achieved using multiple calibrated flow meters to monitor the total of incoming and outgoing CO2 flows. By consistently tracking both input and output flows, the system provides precise and reliable data on the CO2 emissions captured and saved, enabling transparent reporting and supporting sustainability goals.

Additional Energy Recovery

Excess energy generated at the plant site offers an opportunity to enhance the efficiency of the entire process. By utilizing this surplus energy, the system's initially low energy demand can be further optimized.
